Every horse entered must have been ridden on three parades by the owner, during the time above-mentioned or previous to that time, if the horse has not changed owners. Horses running must be ridden by members of the corps, not necessarily the owner, and in colours. 6. Flying Stakes of 35 sovs., added to a sweepstakes of 3 sovs. each. 2 yrs, 6st 71b ; 3 yrs, Bst 51b ; 4 yrs, Sst 131 b; 5 yrs, 6 yrs, and aged, 9st 41b. Winners of one event of £SO since January 1, 1871, 4lb extra; of £IOO or over, 71b extra, not accumulative. Distance,of a mile. Entrance £l, to go to the fund. 7. Hack Rack of 10 sovs. Entrance £l. In case of a walk-over, only half the added, money will be given. The Rules of the C. J. C. will be strictly adhered to. Nominations for Handicap Hurdle Race, and Victoria Handicap to close on MONDAY, MAY 6th, at S p.m. Weights will be published on or about Friday, May 10th. Entrance for all other races, and acceptances for handicaps, to close on iJJIDAY, MAY 17th, at 8 p.m. Nominations to bo sent to the Hon. Sec. Queen’s Birthday Races, at Tattersall’s, enclosing Entrance Fees, and in case of acceptances, sweepstakes. Up to the present time it has been a custom in Christchurch to receive nominations, Ac., as valid, if bearing the postmark of the day preceding that of nomination, &c.
