Mails for Otago, Southland, and the Australian colonies close at 11.15 a.m. this day. Mails close for Newcastle, N.S.W., this day, at 2 p.m. Letters must be specially addressed per Amateur. Mails for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Africa, and America, West Indies, and Sandwich Islands, will close on Wednesday, Ist June, at 8.45 a.m. For newspapers at 7.30 a.m. For issue of money orders and registration of letters on May 31, at 5 p.m. For Northern provinces of New Zealand on Wednesday, Ist June, at 9 a.m. Late letters for all the above places may be posted till 9.25 a.m. on Ist June, such letters must bear the usual late fee in postage stamps.
