The Wainui sailed for Dunedin via intermediate ports yesterday afternoon. The brigantine Annie Brown cleared the Customs yesterday for Auckland, with a full cargo of grain. The schooner Cleopatra cleared the Customs yesterday for Auckland, and is expected to sail this morning. The barques Southern Cross and Crishna, the former 17 days in harbour, the latter 15, are waiting for a berth at the wharf to discharge their cargoes. The barque Tell, Captain Hook, arrived in harbour yesterday from Newcastle ; left on April 22 ; and experienced strong variable winds ; made the land in 7 days ; passed through the Straits on 29th; thence had calms and baffling winds. The barque has a cargo of coal consigned to Mr R. Wood. The s.s. Wellington, Capt. Holmes, arrived in harbour on Tuesday, at 7 p.m. ; left Auckland at 4 p.m. on the 29th ult., and arrived at Napier at 10 am. on the Ist inst.; left again at 6 p.m., and arrived at Wellington at 3.30 p.m. on the 2nd; left at 6.16 p.m. on the 3rd, and arrived at the Kaikouras at 6 am. on the 4th; left again at 9.30 am., and arrived as above. From Auckland to Napier experienced fresh southerly winds, with heavy head sea; thence to Wellington, fine weather and smooth water. From Wellington to the Kaikouras, light northerly winds, with heavy swell; thence to Lyttelton, light westerly winds and fine weather. We are indebted to Mr Moss, purser, for files. The Wellington sailed for Dunedin at 1.15 pm. yesterday. The s.s. Airedale, Captain Kennedy, arrived in harbour yesterday at 1.30 pm. from Wellington; left the wharf at Onehunga at noon on April 30, but came to an anchor under Anwitu, the signal being hoisted at the heads that the bar was dangerous ; crossed the bar at noon on May 1; had strong S.W. winds to Taranaki, off which she anchored at 7 am. on May 2; discharged 64 tons cargo, and proceeded again at 4 p.m.; experienced fresh S.W. winds and heavy head sea across the Straits, and arrived in Nelson harbour at 11 am. on May 3; left again same day at 2.15 pm.; reached Picton at 11 pm., and sailed thence at 1 am, on the 4th, arriving in Wellington at 7 am.; coaled and sailed at 4.30 p.m., and encountered strong westerly winds with heavy squalls and high confused sea from Wellington to this port, arriving as above. We are indebted to Mr Pringle, purser, for files. The Airedale sails for Dunedin to-day.
