The s.s., Keera, Capt. Bain, arrived in harbour yesterday at 4 p.m., from Dunedin, via intermediate ports. Left Port Chalmers at 6 p.m. on Monday, and arrived at Timaru on Tuesday at daylight; discharged cargo and took in wool, and left at 6 p.m., arriving at Akaroa yesterday morning at daylight; left again at 11 a.m., arriving as above ; experienced strong heavy easterly sea, with S.E. winds and thick weather during the whole of the passage. WHEN EXTRA CHARGES MAY BE LEVIED. Double the above fares may be charged after dark. Double the above fares may be charged to vessels lying off or to the eastward of Officer’s Point when an easterly sea is on, provided the boat is manned by two hands. For detention of boat for a* period exceeding twenty minutes, an extra charge of 6d for every quarter-of-an-hour during which the boat shall be detained. During stormy weather, of which notice will be given by hoisting a Bail, painted red, on a staff near the usual landing place, Four shillings each passenger may be charged to and from the steamers, provided the boat is manned by two hands.
