IMPORTANT SALE OF STATION PROPERTY, BY PUBLIC AUCTION, AT DUNEDIN, N.Z. Driver, maclean & co. have received instructions from Messrs J. and W. D, Murison, to sell BY PUBLIC AUCTION, ON SATURDAY, 16th JANUARY, 1869, AT THEIR WOOL STORES, High street, Dunedin, viz :— That VALUABLE SHEEP STATION, Known as the PUKETOI STATION, Comprising Runs No 247 and No 308 a, Province of Otago; and containing an area of about 80,000 acres of really first-class Sheep Country, situated on the Upper Taieri River; which, with the Gimmerburn and Linburn, form secure natural boundaries. The Leases of these Runs hive 14 years unexpired, under the Waste Lands Act, 1866, and are purely pastoral in their nature—there being only a very small reserve for Agricultural Leases on Run No 308 a. They can be worked at little expense, and are estimated to be capable of depasturing upwards of 40,000 Sheep at all seasons. Together with the following Stock--22,672 WELL-BRED SHEEP,

Consisting of—--5,110 Ewes, full mouth (4,600 of which are just 4 years old) 1,270 Ewes, 6-tootb. 1,756 do, 4-tooth. 2,440 do, 2-tooth. 3,711 do Lambs. 14,287 Ewes. 391 wethers, 6-tooth 1,443 do 4-tooth 2,440 do 2-tooth 3,711 do lambs 7,985 wethers 400 first-class RAMS 18 head quiet cattle 6 useful horses. THE IMPROVEMENTS, PLANT, &c., Which are very complete and substantial, forming a gentleman’s residence, Consist of Two-storey stone dwelling-house, eleven rooms, with all modern improvements, well-stocked garden, plantation, &c., &c.; stone stable, six stalls, harness room, fowl yards, &C., &c„ two men’s huts, woolshed, 70 x 40, built of wood and iron, with very superior shearers’ hut and other conveniences for shearing. Two out-station huts Dip, complete, with stone sheep-yards 25 acre paddock under cultivation 1,100 do in natural grasses All plant, and station implements requisite for working the station when fully stocked, Pre-emptive rights to extent of 90 acres, On which the improvements are erected. These Runs being so justly celebrated, both for breeding and fattening, they need no comment from the Auctioneers to recommend them to any one desiring to possess one of the finest properties in New Zealand. The yearly increase has averaged over 80 per cent since the formation of the Station; and fat sheep can be obtained nt all seasons of the year, for which a good market is close at hand.
