Owners of all horses will be required to bring satisfactory evidence of age, pedigree, and performances. Entries for all races not otherwise specified, to close on Friday, January 1,1869, at 2 p.m, The Maiden Plato will close on the same day. The Canterbury Derby for 1871, of 150 sovs, added to a sweepstakes of 10 sovs, 2 sovs on nomination, 3 sovs on acceptance Jan. I,lB'o, and 5 sovs at the post, will close on Saturday, Jan. 16, 1869,at 2 p.m. Ij miles, for threo-year-olils. Entries for the Selling Race to close at 9 p.m. on January 13. No entries or nominations will be valid unless accompanied by the necessary amount in cash. Winners to pay five percent, of their winnings towards expenses of the course.
