MAIL NOTICES.
Mails for tho Northern ports of New Zealand will close at Christchurch at 11 a.m., and Lyttelton at noon, on Wednesday, the 15th instant. Mails for Otago and Southland will close at Christchurch at 2.15 p.m., and Ljttelton at 3 p.m., on Thursday, the 16th initant. Mails for the United Kingdom, the continent of Europe, India, the Mediterranean ports, the Australian colonies, will close at Christchurch, at 1 p.m., and Ljttelton at 2.30 p.m., on Thursdav, the 16th inst. 3 Money orders must be procured at Cliristchurch and Lyttelton before 4 p.m., on Wednesday, the 16th inst,, and registered letters posted before 11 •m, on Thursday, the 16th instant. Late letters for all the above places can be posted until 2.30 p.m., by the attachment of an extra 6d stamp,
