He ran third for the Derby in Thormanby's year; he won the Gold Vase at Ascot, Royal Stand Plate Ascot, and Biennial Stakes at Wolverhampton, besides running for many other races. CALIBAN, a brown horse, by Kingston out of Hay. by Cowl; her dam Cheshire Witch, by Pantaloon out of Horton's dam by Cotton Kingston, by Venison out of Queen Anne, by Slane; her dam, GaniabyOc tarian-Slnttlfl-Katherine. Cagreat Bubstance; be ran 46 races as a two, three, four, and five-year old, and left off sound without a blemish as his legs will show. Gallus was also out of Hag, and a winner of many races. ORDEAL, a black mare, by Touchstone out of Heron mare, her dam by Muley out of sister to Pope, by Shuttle (she had a foal by Saunterer last year, for which Mr Blenkiron gave a long price, and she was in foal to Saunterer, but slipped her foal on board ship). The above have been sent out by Messrs Blenkiron and Tattersall, and consigned to Mr Tattersall for positive sale; they have been selected and considered by them as valnaUe animals for the colony.
