NOTICES OF MOTION. Tuesday, June 25. Mr Wthh WitiUMS, to move—"That tho Public-home Ordinance 1866 Amendment Bill 1867 be read a first time and printed."

Mr Tbavees, to move—" For a rotum shewing the debentures negotiated under tho Lyttelton and Christchurch Railway Loan, and shewing tho prices obtained for them; also, a return of the debentures negotiated under the Half-Million Loan, and shewing the prices obtained for them; whether the sinking fund for the Hailway and Half-Million Loans nave beon invested, in what securities, in whoso name, and in whose custody the securities are now deposited." Mr Teavees, to move—"That it be an instruction to the Committoo on Standing Orders to provide that no documents on the table of the Council, not ordered by the Council to be printed, shall be printed in tho local newspapers without the leave of the Speaker."

The Provincial Seceetaet, to move—"The appointment of a Printing Committee,, to consist of Messrs Johnstone, Montgomery, 1 Ormsby, Cassius, Hawkes, Walker, and the mover." The Peovincial Secretary, to move—" Tile Souse into Committee of Supply 'oh the items of over expenditure." ' The Peovincial Solicitoe, to move—"The second reading of the Provincial Council Extension Ordinance, 1866, Amendment 8i11.,' Mr move—"For a return, shewing the number and names of persons employed in the geological survey for the six months onding the 30th June, 1866, and the amount paid to each. Also for a return, shewing the number and names of persons now employed in the geological department pursuant to tho contract for completion of the survey." Mi Teavees, to ask tho Provincial Secretary—- " Whether tho Government are prepared to afford any relief to one William Jones, who lost his eyesight on the works of the West Coast road owing to the use of improper tools."
