Of the total exports for the quarter colonial manufactures and produce are represented by £1,706,115. Oamaru. Stocks are light and the demand limited; it is considered that the ensuing month will bring an improvement •jn: business Of flour there nre ample stocks; w« hear, £25 quoted for Adelaide, with downward tendency; i>lß for guaranteed Oamaru flour (JHL brand); oats,6s for feed and 7« 6d for Beed;, wheat,. prices nominal. The stocks of sugars are low at present, in consequence of.ex'pectcdiise in duty; in teas, coffees, &c, we have no change of prices to report. Spirits are saleable at former quotations. During the week the wellnkndwnfirinof Messrs. Driver, M'L'eah and Co., ■ \stockandstalion.Balesmen,wool-brokers, &c.,have : opened a branoh in Qamaru, into which Mr. A. E. B. Thompson, late of Canterbury, has been admitted a partner. New premises are being erected in Tyne-street for their offices. From the above it appears that the exports for the whole of New Zealand for the quarter, exceeded the imports by £399.653. There was an excess of imports over exports in the case of Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, Nelson, and Southland, while the other four provinces had an excess of exports over imports. The following table shows the chief articles of export, their value, and the province whence they are exported, for the quarter ended March 31,1866: —
