MR. TRAVERS'S LAND SCHEME.

TO THE EDITOR OP THE LTTTELTON TIHHB. Sir,—At the meeting convened to hear the views of the candidates to represent Christchurch in the Provincial Council, Mr. Moorhouse openly announced his intention to challenge me to an open discussion, before the electors of the city, of my views upon the land question. I have waited from that day to this for Mr. Moorhouse's challenge, but have not yet re ceived it. I beg to state that I am perfectly prepared to meet Mr. Moorhouse for the purpose in question, on any evening that he may choose to appoint within the next fortnight. I have sent Mr. Moorhouse a copy of this letter. Yours, &c.. W. T. L. TRAYERS. Christchurch, March, 14, 1866.
