The Maribyrnong Stud for sale should be quite a sufficient announcement to bring all the breeders and racing men of Australia to Maribyrnong on the 10th of April. In the limits of an advertisement any comment from the auctioneer is quite inadequate to describe the individual merits of the mares and horses above enumerated, each of which ought to be the nucleus of a fortune to any man. It is a stud that has taken a very large sum to collect, and which any English nobleman would be proud to own. An opportunity of possessing imported mares, with such magnificent strains of blood, and colts and fillies out of them by old Fisherman (one of the soundest and best stallions ever imported), has never occurred in the Southern Hemisphere before, and never will again. Catalogues, with full descriptions of pedigree and performances, are preparing, and may be had on and after the Ist March at Maribyrnong (where the stud can be viewed prior to the sale), and at Kirk's Bazaar, Melbourne, where any further information can be obtained ; also, the Globe Hotel, Adelaide ; Tattersall's, Sydney ; Brisbane and Launceston Hotel, Launceston; Webb's Hotel, Hobart Town. 962
