The Airedale arrived from Wellington and Northern Ports yesterday, at 1 o'clock, after a very favourable passage. She brought a large number of passengers for Lyttelton; will sail for Dunedin, this day at noon, with the English Mails. The I. B. M. Company's s.s. Claud Hamilton, Capt. Ponsonby, left Sydney at 2 p.m. on the 6th inst., arrived at Hokitika, on Wednesday, 10th, having made the passage in 4 days 4 hours. Left Hokitika tor Nelson on Friday, 12th inst., at 10 1 a.m.; arrived at Nelson 13th, at 7 a.m.; left Nel■ion for Lyttelton, at 7 a.m,, on 14th, and arrived yesterday morning, at 8 30. a.m. Experienced fine weather during the passage. She brings 4 saloon and 20 in Bteerage. The Claud Hamilton, since receiving her new boiler and screw, has materially increased in speed; she is now one of the fastest and most comfortable steamer in these waters left Lyttelton, for Dunedin, on Monday afternoon at half-past three o'clock. Newcastle Shipping.—At the time of the sailing of the ship British Queen, the King of Italy was near half loaded, and would be likely to get away, in about one week from that time. She was selected as the flagship on the occasion of the late regatta.
