A NEWSPAPER OF TUB LAROEBT SIZE, THE object of tho proprietors in publish ing tho Canterbury Times is to provide the public at large, and especially those who desire to obtain the complete news of each week within moderate cost and compass, with a journal peculiarly suitable for home reading, country circulation, and transmission abroad. While every item of important news which may occur during tho week will find a place in the Canterbury Times, particular attention will be paid to those departments of information, instruction, and amusement, which are not properly within the scope of a daily paper.
