We understand, as the general drift of the news from the North, both public and private, that the G-oyern-ment haye absolutely declined to have anything further to do with the military authorities. In this policy it is expected that Mr. "Weld's Government will have the cordial support of a majority of both Houses; and it is rumoured that the Auckland members will be headed by Mr. Stafford to form the minority in the Lower House.
