THE WEREROA PAH.

(From the Wanganui Chronicle. July 5.) Brigadier-General Waddy, C.8., went out on Monday to the pah and offered terras to the occupants, which were briefly these, that they should evacuate the pah and proceed to Nukumaru and Teupuku (Abraham's ford) to reside there under the eye of the troops until their case shall be decided on by the authorities. These terms the rebels declined, proposing others which were not agreeable to General Waddy, and there the matter rests, By a letter received to-day, from our Nukumaru correspondent, we learn that the garrison has been reinforced by 250 fljrhtimr men. 6 The result of the reference to Wellington, regarding the previous act in this game of cross-purposes, is that Lieut.-Col. Logan resigned his office of General Government agent, which he evidently could not hold while the military and colonial authorities were playing at this game, and that his Excellency the Governor resolved himself to proceed to the scene of action.
