The Young Salmon —The Hobart Town Mercury of the 23rd Hit. gives the following report of success of the experiment. Mr. Ramsbottom reports more favourably of the salmon at the River Plenty than ever. He speaks of their growth as having exceeded his most sanguine expectations, so much so, indeed, that he now looks upon their acclimatise* tion ascomplete. The trout are also doing well, and are both lively and large.
