Auctions. IN THE ESTATE OF BARRETT BROTHERS. VALUABLE FREEHOLD SECTION. MESSRS. J. OLLIVIER & SON have received instructions from the Trustees to the Estate of Messrs. Barrett brothers, to sell by public auction, at their Offices, on THURSDAY NOV. 24TH AT NOON, That Valuable Freehold Estate in the , Lincoln District, being Section No. 1435, and containing 158 acres. The Section is laid down in grass, and is an exceedingly rich pasture. It is bounded on two sides by the Kiver Halswell, and a Deep Creek running into the River, on the upper or Roadside there is a substantial fence. For the grazing or Cattle Breeding—this farm is perhaps as complete and compact as any in the province. The land can be readily divided in paddocks, and each completely watered and sheltered. There is an overflow drain on the land, to carry off any surface water arising from the occasional flooding of the River, and which at a very trifling cost may be converted into a Mill-race for a Mill of considerable power. The property is only 12 miles from Christchurch with a good road all the way, and at the junction of the Roads to Lake Ellesmere and Little River.
