Lot 1 will comprise all that well known wharf and waterside premises called Christchurch Quay, together with the warehouses, dwelling-house, offices, store, cellars, outbuildings, crane wharf, yards, and premises of half an acre, where a very extensive coal and timber trade is now being earned on by Messrs. Montgomery, Todhunter & Co. as tenants from year to year at the very low annual rent of £200, on terms to give up possession at a month's notice if required. These premises are perhaps the most suitable and best adapted for a brewery of any in Canterbury. Lot 2 will comprise the new dwelling-house on the opposite side of the creek, replete with every convenience, stables, outbuildings, extensive garden well stocked with fruit trees, grass paddock containing about sa. lr., having large valuable frontage up the river.
