WE hereby give notice that the business carried on at Canterbury under the style or firm of Dalgety, Buckley and Co., and at Otago of Dalgety, Rattray and Co., is still and will be carried on as heretofore. And that the said partnership has not been dissolved as advertised by Mr. E. S. Dalgety on the 25tli instant, but will continue until the expiration of the term entered into by the partnership deed, viz., the 30tli day of June next, unless before that time legally dissolved in accordance therewith. HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that, in consequence of Monday, the Bth, Tuesday, the 9th, and Wednesday, the 10th instant, being the days on which the Cricket Match between the ALL ENGLAND ELEVEN and TWENTY-TWO OF CANTERBURY is to take place, the first named day will be observed as a HOLIDAY, and that the public offices will be closed on that day, and that on the two following days the public offices will be closed after 12 o'clock. WHEREAS by the Diseased Cattle Act, 1860, it was provided that the Governor in Council, might, by Warrant under his hand from time to time, delegate to the Superintendent of any province within the said colony, all or any of the powers vested in the Governor or Governor in Council by the said Act, subject to such regulations as he might think fit, and might from time to time rescind such regulations : And whereas the said Governor hath and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand, delegated to SAMUEL BEALEY, Esq., so long as he shall hold the office of Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, the several powers vested in the said Governor by the second, fourth, fifth, seventh, ninth, and tenth sections of the said Act, subject to being rescinded as in the said Act provided, and subject to the regulations used by the Governor in Council, on the fifteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two, and to any other regulations to be from time to time duly made. Now, therefore, I SAMUEL BEALEY, by virtue of such powers in me vested, do hereby Proclaim and Declare — That after the date hereof the Provinces of Auckland, Taranaki, and Hawkes Bay, in the Colony of New Zealand shall be deemed to be infected districts within the meaning of the said Act, and that no cattle shall be imported from the said Provinces.
