IN pursuance of the Provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled '•The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," and the " Provincial Elections Act, 1855," I, Frederick William Tesch6maker, Returning Officer for the Electoral-District of Mount Cook, do hereby give Notice that by virtue of a Writ, bearing date the 17th day of November 1863, issued under the hand of His Hopor the Superintendent of Canterbury; an Election will be held fOr the -return 1 of a qualified person to serve as a Member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at Mr. Parker son's Woolshed, on Friday, the 18th day of December/1863 ; and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Saturday, the 19th day of December, 1863.
