NOTICE TO CONSIGNEES. i miUS vessel having reported at JL the Custom House, consignees are requested to present bills of lading and pay freight to the undersigned, without whose order no goods will be delivered. Arrangements have been made by the undersigned for lightering the cargo at current rates, at the risk and expense of consignees. Full particulars must be sent at once to the office of such goods as may be intended for transhipment to Christchurch. The goods so ordered to be sent to Christchurch will be transhipped to a steamer or sailing craft, if either can be obtained; but failing this, they will be landed in Lyttelton, if impeding the discharge of the 1 ship. Consignees objecting to have their goods lightered as above, will please give written notice to the undersigned, on or before Tuesday, the Bth instant, and it will be necessary for such consignees to have a lighter alongside the ship, ready to receive goods as they come to hand after that date. After Tuesday, the Sth instant, all goods for which entries have not been passed at the Custom House, will be cleared by Mr. Louisson, and landed in terms of Bills of Lading at consignees' risk and expense. SERVANTS' HOME. THE Subscribers to the Servant's Home are requested to pay their subscriptions to the Treasurer, J. Palmer, Esq., of the Union Bank. It is hoped that all subscriptions will be lodged as early as possible in December, as the Committee are entering into arrangements for furnishing the House and as other expenses will necessarily be incurred.
