ROAD WATERING.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE LYTTELTON TIMES. Sir, —Pray urge upon those parties who are paying for the roads to be watered the desirability of their watering their footpaths in front of their houses, otherwise it is comparatively useless. Surely five minutes labor twice or thrice a day would greatly improve the comfort and pleasure of all persons, to say nothing of promoting a little more shopping. Yours, &c, A SMALL TRADER.
