CLOUGH and CO. have the honor to inform the public that they have been instructed by Mr. Duffield to announce that the ship Julia Farmer, having on board 500 PURE ALPACAS, may now be expected to arrive in Hobson's Bay any day after this date. This new and invaluable stock has been selected with great care, and consists of 450 females and 100 males, about 25 per cent of which are pure whites. In reference to the above the undersigned are prepared to receive orders for the purchase of any of the above alpacas upon their arrival, through their friends in Melbourne, who will carefully attend to to their shipment. HAYES' PATENT CONCENTRATED SPECIFIC, for the prevention and cure of scab in sheep; also for the cure of foot rot, and for cutaneous diseases in cattle, horses, dogs, and other animals. FOR FOOT ROT, use equal proportions of specific and water, thoroughly boiled. After the feet have been pared, walk the sheep through the trough, letting them stand in it for" a few minutes, after which they should be driven on to dry ground. FOR CUTANEOUS DISEASES of cattle, horses, and other animals, and for ticks in sheep, the specific to be applied in the same manner as for scab, using one gallon to ten gallons of water. DIRECTIONS FOR USE. It is necessary before using the specific, to stir up the whole contents of the cask, thoroughly mixing all the ingredients, to every gallon of which add four gallons of water, boiling it until perfectly dissolved; then add thirty-six gallons more water, making the mixture a proportion of forty gallons of water to every gallon of specific, or about 2,000 gallons to a hogshead, making the cost of the solution less than three-half-pence per gallon. It must be used at a temperature of about 100 degrees Fahr., or about as hot as a man can bear his hand in, when the sheep can be passed through the dip in the usual manner.
