Mr. H. E. Alport reports the following sales by auction at Christchurch market, viz:—By instructions of the Rgistrar of Canterbury, 8 bullocks, * heifers and cows, and 3 calves, for £100; 1 mare and foal, .£33; 1 'Skeleton' yearling filly, £20. After which, pigs, ducks, fowls, cheese, flour and other produce, at full rates, the attendance being large and biddings brisk. Mr. W. D. Barnard reports the sale by public auction on Saturday last of 15 horses, at prices varying from £22 to £37 10s. average £30 10s; 1 yearling filly, £11; 1 black colt, £19; 1 heifer, £5 15s; 1 cow. £6; 1 bull, £10.
