HHHIS vessel has arrived from Auckland in bal- -*- last trim, and will be ready to receive cargo in the course of a day or two. The Mermaid i« a first-class passenger ship and well known in the trade. She is a fact sailer, and last season on her homeward voyage reached soundings in 73 days, and landed her passengers on the 82nd day. As several of the Mermaid's cabins have been already engaged, early application will be necessary. Every assistance will be afforded shippers in bringing their produce coastwise.
