The forfeit must be declared to the Secretary of the C.J.C, who will be in attendance within fifteen minutes of the publication of the weights. SELLING STAKES.—£2 each, with £25 added. \\ mile. C.J.C. weights. The winner to be sold for £100. If entered to be sold for £90, allowed 71bs; if for £80, 141bs; if for £70, 211bs ; if for £60, 281bs; and if for £50, 351bs. The winner to be sold by public auction immediately after the race, and the surplus (if any) to go to the fund. CONSOLATION STAKES.—Handicap. £2 each, with £25 added, for beaten horses. 1 mile In all races not otherwise specified, the allowance is 3lbs for mares and geldings. The following races are closed :—The Maiden Stakes, Derby, and Sleight-of-Hand Cup. The Scurry and Hack Races are Post entries.
