ENGLISH EMIGRATION. MR. MARSHMAN being about to proceed to England as the Emigration Agent of the Province, would be happy to confer with persons who may wish to see him upon matters connected with English emigration. It is believed that there are many gentlemen resident in the province who could afford valuable assistance to the agent by enlisting the co-opera-tion of friends in England, having influence in their respective districts, and who might be expected to take an interest in the subject of emigration to " Canterbury. The agent will be obliged by any communication which may be made to him with a view of giving effect to this suggestion. Mr. Marshman will be at the Treasury, Christchurch, until the end of next week, and at Lyttelton up to the sailing of the Mermaid. Letters would reach him after that date through the Provincial Secretary's Office, Christchurch, or addressed to 32, Charing Cross, London. Christchurch, Jan. 25, 1861.
