GAZETTES.
By the Auckland Mail brought by the Ocean Queen, we have a copy of the * New Zealand Gazette * No. 9, dated March 15th. The official announcements are as follow. - The township in the province of Marlborough, hitherto called Beaver, is hereafter to be named Blenheim. The services of the Auckland Volunteer Rifle Corps are made temporarily available for the Government Honse and Britomart Barracks Guards. This announcement is signed by Captain Balneavis, as Deputy-Adjutant-General of Militia and Volun* teers. ■ . . A tender for printing for the General Government at Wellington, by. Robert Stokes, is notified as accepted. , The Customs returns for the quarter ended 31st December, 1860, are published in this ' Gazette.' The Revenue returns show the receipts for the quarter to have been £44,607 6s. lOd. against £38,199 6s. 7d. for the corresponding quarter of 1858. The principal ports contributed to the totals as follows:—-
The number of vessels which cleared outwards from the porb of Lyttelton during the quarter, was -v—With cargoes, 8 vessels, 1410 tons; in ballast 4 vessels, 1554 tons. Total 12 vessels, 2264 tons. Corresponding quarter of 1858: 11 vessels, 1620 tons. , The value of the imports during the quarter into, the whole colony was £390,514 against £329,156 for the same period of the preceding year. The principal ports of the coloi»y give the following figures under this head:—
The total for the whole colony shows £64,984 in 1859 against £44,293 in 1858.
