-The Grain Mahket;—Considerable difficulty has during the past fortnight been experienced by the millers in obtaining a sufficient supply of wheat to keep their mills employed. One of the mills has ceased to work for the present, there being, till the harvest comes in, no means of obtaining " grist" for it. Flour has risen £2 per ton, and now stands at £28;
At fMr. Ollivier's sale of land, &c, at the Town Hall, Christchurch, town sections of a quarter-acre ea^h in Northport fetched from £12 to £66 each. Twenty-two acres in all were sold, realising £1700. The Golden Fleece was bought in by the mortgagee for the sum of £1250, and will be offered again on the 9th of next month if not previously sold.
The; application list for Northport sections to be sold by auction on that day is also filling rapidly.
