The Dart has had a passage of 16 days down from Sydney. She fell in with a strong gale from S. arid S^E. when four days out, which lasted till the :28th ult., after which it fell calm. Since making the •land'light fair winds have been experienced. Capt. 'Jenkins reports speaking the Louis and Miriam on her; way up to Sydney,- about 800 miles west Of Cape Farewell.

Tub Messengkr Bird. —The Gratia -left Ono (Feejees) on the 14th September. She Jias not sighted any vessels in the run. across, but Captain J. Malcolm has obliged us with the following particulars from the group. On the 4th July, an American ship, named the Messenger Bird, Captain Dalley, six days out,'from New Zealand, put into the Feejees (as the captain reported) for the purpose of-getting water; which she obtained, and sailed on a secret cruise on the 7th-July; -her lower hold was full of coffee, some, of which was purchased by Captain ■■Malcolm. The fact .of a vessel leaving New Zealand without Avater sufficient for a passage appeared so extraordinary that Captain Malcolm gave the particulars to Mr. Williams, the American .consul, being under the-impression that the vessel had been run away with. The Caroline, Captain Truscott,'French mission brig, sailed from 0 valu on the 4th ultimo.—-S. M. Herald; Oct. 13.
