IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," I, George Leslie Lee, Returning Officer for the electoral district of Amuri, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the 21st day of March, 1859, issued under the hand of John Perry Robinson, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council for the said electoral district; and that the noriiination of candidates will take place at Mr. Duppas Woolshed, on MONDAY, the 9th-day of May, 1859^; and that the poll (ii necessary) will be taken on Tuesday, tho 10th day of May, 1859. - ' Dated this 14th day of April, 1859.
