The Oriental arrived on Thursday from London with a full cargo and a large complement of passengers. She called at. Otago on her way, where she landed seven passengers and stayed' four days; from that port to'thls >she rhas had a tedious run up. Our old friend Captain Macey, with <whom every one made acquaintance while his ship was loading last February and March, is still in command, and we notice among his passengers one or two original colonists of tins settlement. The Oriental brings a few Cotswold rams and ewes, the property of a passenger. ....

She is built of the best mahogany, copper fastened, is 30 feet long by 6 J broad, and bears the same decorations as the Mary White, the life-boat which gained ; such celebrity the-winter before last at Brpadstairs. Sbeiias'Tseen constructed under the superintendence of J.
