NEW SOUTH WALES.

The following is the latest Sydney commercial report, taken from the • Sydney Morning Herald' of September 24th":—• Messrs. Mort-and Co. held, to-day, their weekly produce sale. The quantity of wool catalogued was 22 bales, but owing to the continued indisposition to operate in the present state of the wool market, and in the absence of news from England, only 5 bales were sold. A l lot of 17 bales of fleece, the first of the new clip of the season, was offered, but was withdrawn,' 15jd. being the highest bid. This wool was from Moreton Eay, and very badly got up, which will account somewhat for the low price offered. Sheepskins are a little firmer, and about 2370 were sold, at from s£d. to 7£d. per lb. Tallow.—The market is firm, and 15 casks of the same parcel of beef tallow which sold i^st week at £43 per ton, brought to day £44. 33 casks of tallow were sold at from £42 15s. to £44; for beef station £44 10s. to £50 15s. ; mutton, £51 ss. to £52. The town trade were the purchasers of almost every lot, therefore the prices ruling cannot be looked upon with much certainty. Hides were not quite so much in demand today, and most of the lots offered were light, of an inferior description. The highest figure obtained for a lot of 72 was 10s. 6d. each. Skins, Is. 7d. to 2s. 6d.; hair, 4Jd.; shank bones, £6 per ton. The following are the particulars of a parcel of Fitzroy River gold, sent by Captain M. C.
