INDIA.
The arrival of the ' Rosebud' has put us in possession of regular files of the Madras 'Athenaeum 1 up to the 10th July; the latest number ot winch acknowledges the following dates — Calcutta, June 26, Allahabad, June 21 Bombay, July 1, and Ceylon, July 3. Since the taking of Calpee and Gwalior, noticed in our last Indian intelligence, the most prominent operations have been those of General Lugard at Jugdeßpore, but nothing has yet occurred that will have any decisive effect in drawing the terrible struggle towards a conclusion. In Agra the c&pture and hanging of
rebels have become the regular order of the day, and these, together with a continuous and barrassing guerilla warfare without any possibility of grand and conclusive concentrations, are the main characteristics of our Indian operations.
