The June mail arrived in Wellington in the Jeannie Dove on Thursday afternoon the 2nd instant, and the boxes for Lyttelton and Otago have been forwarded in the Rosebud. The Chesterholme, ship, owned by Evans, Son & Co., of Bristol, Captain Evans, sailed from Hobart Town for Calcutta, with 90 horses selected and shipped by Captain Little, for Colonel W. P. Robbins, the agent in Australia for the Bengal presidency, was totally lost in Torres Straits.
