In the Mountain Maid, a general cargo, consisting of coal, sugar, tea, coffee, spirits, beer, furniture, and a great variety of miscellanneous merchandise, consigned to the agents, Messrs. J. T. Peacock & Co. EXPORTS. In the Dart, Cpokson, Bowler & Co., agents: 22 tons potatoes, .1576 bushels wheat, 14 bales wool, 41 hides. In the Malay, Messrs: Peacock & Co., agents: 447 bags wheat, 20 do. barley, 196 do. oats, 199 do. potatoes, 9 tons oil, 19 bundles whalebone, 20 bales wool, 2 tons tallow, 811 sheepskins.

The Maori arrived at Wellington on the 12th instant. The Westminster sailed for London on the 14th instant. She had shipped 320 additional bales of wool, making a total of 1407 bales. The total estimated value of her cargo, which includes 1,532 ounces of gold, amounts to £45,950. The barque I-Isirkaway from London, which had sailed from Deal on the 21st April, arrived, via Australia, at Wellington on the 14th inst., with 97 passengers and a full cargo for that port and Nelson. . The last accounts from Auckland (July 31) state that the White Swan had gone to Kaiapara, whence she did not return to Manakau by theabove date. The barque Federation had left Melbourne for this port on the Ist inst., but we have not yet heard any intimation of her arrival. ENGLISH SniPriNO. The Zealandia was to sail on the 10th June, with a party of 300 emigrants, for this place exclusively. The Clontarf was to follow the Zeaiandia for Lyttelton, and would sail in August. The Chieftain, for Nelson and Canterbury, was to leave London in May. sea, that the liabilities amount to £91,282, inclusive of £50,000, for temporary loans, for which the directors are responsible, and that the available assets arc estimated at £52,000. The amount actually required is thus—£2ll,2B2, or, with the addition of £8718 for contingencies, £220,000. The total cost of the vessel will consequently be £804,522, being at the rate of about £35 per ton, taking her capacity at about 24,000 tons. The Board consider the preliminary voyages to America will prove profitable, and enable the ship to be satisfactorily tested without expense. Stress is laid upon the preference she will command over other, vessels from her great capacity and speed, and upon her value to the Government under circumstances similar to the late events in India. It is not expected that she will be completed before autumn, when her preliminary trips will be performed, prior to the opening of the early spring trade of next year.— Times.

A disastrous fire occurred at St. Catherine's Docks ia the beginning of May, which destroyed property to to the amount of £100,000. Several persons were " terribly injured" during its extinction.
