NOTICE is hereby given, that the First' Election of Scholars on the Somes Foundation of Christ's College, will take place on; SATURDAY, the 25th of SEPTEMBER,; nthe present year. Two scholarships will-be s offered for competition, one of the annual value of £48, tenable for three years and a-shalf; the, other of the annual value of £32, tenable for. two years and a-half; the former amount to be; raised to £60, the latter to £40, annually, pro-.' vided the scholar shall pass a satisfactory annual j< examination in the studies of the preceding <i year. ' All members of the United Church of Eng-; land and Ireland, or of any branch of '-the said \ Church, or of any Church in communion there-1 with, wheresoever born or resident, whoyshall? have attained on the day of election the full; age of fifteen, and shall not have exceeded the > age of nineteen years, are admissible as tiandi-i dates.
