WAITT & CO. regret that these horses have been so much knocked up by their six weeks' overland journey from Nelson during the late severe weather, as to compel the proprietor to dispose of the greater portion of them on the way. Only 5 have as yet reached Christehurch, and will be sold (weather permitting) by MR. THOMSON, at the' White Hart Stockyards, SATURDAY AUG. 28, AT NOON. About 12 more have been left on the borders of the province, and may be expected about the end of next month, when they will be sold by auction; due notice of the day of sale being previously given.
