Fire.—On Wednesday morning last, a stable belonging to Mr, G. Allen, Perry-road, took fire. As a strong nor'wester was blowing at the time, all efforts to save the building which was thatched, were of no avail, the building being totally consumed in a very short time. So fierce were the flames that a dray which was standing near took fire and waa burned to a degree to render it useless before it could be removed. The origin of the fire is not known.
The "Joseph Fletcher," emigrant ship, arrived in our harbour on Thursday afternoon, 102 days out from Portsmouth. She brings, of course, no mail; but by the kindness of the agent, we have been presented to look over a file of the -" Times," up to the date of the ship's departure; in these papers, however, we do not find any news of sufficient importance to displace other matter already prepared for our columns.
