The ' Alexander ' for Nelson, Wellington and Canteibiiry, was advertised to sail 'from Melbourne, on the 20th ult. The' Mountain Maid,' Peacock, master, cleared out at Sydney for Nelson, on the 31st ult. The ' Marmora,' M off it, master, was advertised on the Ist April, to leave Sydney for Nelson, Canterbury, and Otago, in a few days. ! The ' Piinia Donna* Sproulo, master, was advertised to leave Sydney on the 31st ult. foi Wellington and Canterbury; proceeding to Otago, should sufficient inducement offer. Some anxiety is being felt at no news arriving of the schooner Vixen, that left Port Phillip between four and five months ago for New Zealand. The Vixen was under the command of Captain Lumsden, who had succeeded in matin"some remarkably rapid passages from Ne\v Zealand to this port in his Jittle vessel. We may hope, however, that Captain Lumsden has fetched some port, and that in a short time we shall hear of his perfect safety.— Argus, Mar. 20.
