Esq , Returning Officer for the town of Christchurch, do hereby in pursuance of the said recited writ, give notice that a public meeting of ihe Electors of the to.vn of Cbrislchuich, will be holden in the Market Place of the town uf Christchurch, on Tuesday, the ISih day of December, next, at norm, for the purpose of nominatiusr One Person to serve as a member of the House-of Representatives, for the town of Christchurch, and in the event of a poll being demanded for ihe candidates or any of them, such polling shall lake place on Wednesday, the I nineteenth day of December next, in die lobby of the Provincial Council Chamber, at Christchurch; the voting to commence at any time after nine o'clock, a.m. of the said day, and to close at four o'clock p.m. of the same day.
