Lyttelton & Christchurch. July 2nd. 1855. Christclmrcli Q,uay New Town, Set out in quarter-acre, and other sections for Building purposes. THE situation of this town upon the main road from Port Lyttelton aud Sumner to Christchurch, and on the north bank of the river Heathcote, which is navigable up to this point for all vessels that can enter the Estuary, pr«sents most important advantages to persons connected with the trade and shipping business of the plains, for establishing waterside premises, wholesale stores and warehouses. This being the head of the navigation, a plot of ground has been reserved for a steam basin, when the circumstances of the Colony shall justify its formation; and the importance ofthe place, from which the greater part of the produce of the plains will necessarily be shipped, and its imports discharged, renders it one of peculiar advantage for permanent investment, as a locality in which property will inevitably most rapidly increase in value. The erection of a Church upon the spot is already in progress, and provision is made for the site of a school. Plans of the town may be seeu at the office of Mr. Cridland, architect, Christchurch, at the landing wharf, Christchurch Quay, aud at the office of Mr. Dampier, solicitor, London street, Lyttelton, of whom respectively full information may be obtained. An early day will be fixed for submit ting a portion of the sections to public competition and upon terms to suit the convenience of purchasers. On Sale, SARTOR.
