Provincial Secretary's Office Chrislchurch, Ist August, 1855 HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it, to be notified for public information, that a case of intoxication having been reported to the Government as having occurred in the house commonly called the Ashley Arms, kept by George Hanmer, and the license, to sell spirits, &c, in the said house having thereby become forfeited, by a violation of the conditions under which Bash Licenses are granted—the said license is hereby cancelled from and after the 4th day of August instant.
