Gentlemen, — I have the honor to inform you, that I have placed my resignation as your representative in the General Assembly, in the Speaker's hands. The immediate cause of my doing so, is my return for a short time on private affairs to England, but at the same time as a dissolution appears to be very imminent, I feel that it is but vacating a few weeks earlier a seat which a short time must have lel't at your disposal. I cannot take leave of you without expressing:1, my grateful thanks for the honour you bestow^ on me m electing me as one of your first representatives, an honour which I trust 1 have appreciated, and whose duties I sincerely hope I have fulfilled. If at a future time you may think my services could be useful in any way to your Province, it will be a sincere pleasure to receive again at your hands the trust I am now compelled to resign. I remain, Gentlemen, Your most obedient servant, James Stuart Wobxley.
