1 tlje town of .Lyttelton, do hereby in pursuance of the said recited writ, give notice that a public meeting of the electors of the aforesaid town, will be held in the town of Lyttelton, at the Police Office, on Tuesday the 13th day of March, at noon, for the purpose of nominating Three persons to serve as members of the Provincial Council for the town of Lyttelton, and in the event of a poll being demanded for the candidates, or any of them, such polling shall take place on Wednesday, the 14th day of Marcb,in the Police Office, at Lyttelton. NOTICE, Province of Canterbury to Wit: WHEREAS, a Writ under the hand of James Edward Fitz Gerald, Esq., Superintendent of the said Province, bearing date the 15th day of February, in the year of our Lord, one Thousand Eight hundred and Fifty Five, hath been directed to me, Charles Simeon, Esq., as Returning-Officer for the town of Christchurch in the said Province; requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected by and from amongst the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently, and in form and manner by law prescribed, Three Persons to serve as members of the Provincial Council for the town of Christchurch, NOW therefore I, the said Charles Simeon, Esq., Re-turning-Officer for the town of Christchurch, do hereby, in pursuance of the said recited writ, give notice that a public meeting of the electors of the town of Christchurch: will be held in the Market Place of the town of Chris!church, on Thursday, the Bth day of March next, at noon, for. the purpose of nominating three persons to serve as members of the Provincial Council for the town of Ohristchurch, and in the event of a poll being demanded for the candidates, or any of them, such polling shall take place on Friday, the.9th day of March next, in the lobby of the Provincial Council Chamber, at Christchurch.
