LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.

Supreme Court.—(Before Mr. Justice Stephen). On Monday, a sitting of the Supreme Court was held for the second time since the foundation of the settlement. -Fourteen of the Grand Jury appeared at 12 o'clock and were sworn in. No cases being ready, owing to the uncertainty as to the time of the steamer's arrival, the Court was adjourned till 10 o'clock on Tuesday. On Tuesday, John Willis was placed at the bar on a charge of larceny. Mr. Gresson prosecuted for the Crown, and Mr. King defended the prisoner. The evidence was not complete. The Jury returned a verdict of Not Guilty. The Court was adjourned till Thursday for civil, and Friday for criminal, business, in order to give time for the production of witnesses. In the case of William Douglas Love, charged with obtaining money under false pretences, the Grand Jury found No Bill.
