The following Testimonial has been sent to Professor Holloway, by a gentleman named Middleton, of Scotlandroad, Liverpool. Sib, —Your Pills have been the means, under Providence, of restoring me to sound health after five years of severs affliction. During the whole of that period I snffered th« most dreadful attacks of Asthma, frequently of several ■weeks' duration, attended with a violent cough, and continual spitting of phlegm intermixed with blood. This so shook my constitution that I was unfitted for any of the active duties of life. I was attended by some of the most eminent medical men of this town, but they failed to giva me the slightest relief. As a last remedy I tried your Pills, and in about three months they effected a perfect cure* of the disease, totally eradicated the cough, aud restored tons and vigour to the chest and digestive organs. I am, Sir, your obedient servant, (Signed) H. Middi.etO3T. These celebrated Pills are wonderfully efficacious in the following complaints:— Ague, Asthma, Bilious complaints, Blotches on the Skin, Bowel complaints, Colics, Constipation of the Bowels, Consumption, Debility, Dropsy, Dysentry, Erysipelas, Fevers of all kinds, Fits, Gout, Head-ache, Indigestion, Inflammation, Jaundice, Liver complaints, Lumbago, Piles, Rheumatism, Retention of Urine, Scrofula, or King's Evil, Sore Throats, Secondary Symptoms, Tic Dolonreus, Tumours, Ulcers, Worms of all kinds, Weakness, from whatever cause, &c, &c. Sold at the Establishment of Professor Holloway, 244, Strand, (near Temple Bar), London, and by all respectable Druggists, and dealers in Medicines throughout the Civilised World. Sidey & Le Cren, Lyttelton. Sub-Agents : A. Batfield, Lyttelton & Christchurch. G. C. Black, Kaipoi. Caution to the Inhabitants of New Zealand. It has lately come to my knowledge that spurious " Hoiloicay's Pills and Ointment" are being sold by a person in Melbourne, who supplies Dealers with the same in most parts of Australasia. It is therefore particularly necessary to observe that the Genuine Medicines have the words " Holloicay's Pills and Ointment" woven in the Watermark of the Paper of the Direction Books, similar to a Bank Note ; and one of which is affixed to every Pot and Box, the same words are engraved on the Government Stamp, which is pasted on every Pot and Box, and to imitate which is Felony; without such marks the Medicines are not genuine. ggP^The Genuine Medicines may be had of Messrs. SIDEY & Le CREN, Lyttelton. If any parties have been imposed upon by buying spurious Medicines, they are earnestly requested to communicate with the above named Agents, and also to kindly send me direct to England full particulars to my address, 244, Stbasd, London. (Signed) THOMAS HOLLOWAY. March SStb, 1354.
