Registry of Deaths.

If a death shall happen in any house, the father, mother, or the occupier of the house, must give notice of the death to the Deputy Registrar of the District within 10 days. If the hody of a new-born child is found exposed, a constable of the district must give such notice. If a dead body be found the coroner must give such notice. Some inmate of the house in which the death shall have happened, shall within 8 days give information, upon being requested to do so, to the Deputy Registrar of the several particulars required to be registered. In case of an inquest the Jury shall en-

quire of the said particulars, and the Coroner shall give notice thereof to the Deputy Registrar. _ The person giving the information must sign the registry together with his description and place of abode. The Deputy Registrar, upoh registering any death, or as soon afterwards as he shall be required to do so, shall deliver to the undertaker or the person having charge of the funeral, a certificate of the registry, which certificate shall be delivered by the undertaker or other person to the minister who shall bury the body. If no such certificate shall be given, the Minister, or other person who shall bury the body, shall immediately give notice of the burial to the Deputy Registrar. ?%The Coroner may order, a body to be buried without such certificate. Fees. —No fees are required for registering deaths. Fines. —For not giving notice of a death within ten clays, £10. For burying or performing any religious service at the burial of any dead botly without a certificate from the Deputy Registrar or Coroner, and neglecting to give notice of such burial to the Deputy Registrar within one month, £10. For a Deputy Registrar's refusing, or without reasonable cause omitting to register any death, £50.

Burrell Parkerson, Esq., has duly qualified as a medical Practitioner under the Ordinance of the Provincial Council of New Munster relating thereto.
