CAUTION TO THE PUBLIC Christchurch Town Reserves. WHEREAS an advertisement appeared in the Lyttelton Times of Saturday last, April 8, announcing that the Agent of the late Canterbury Association is prepared to lease the right of pasturage on the Christchurch^Town Reserves for a term of one year from the 31st of May next. Now I hereby caution all parties against tendering for the same, "until the question of title to the said lands now at issue between Her Majesty's Government of New Zealand and the Association has been legally decided, as I am advised under instructions from His Excellency the Governor-in-Chief that the lands in question " are probably public property, and. not the property of the Association." WHEREAS I have received instructions from His Excellency the Officer administering1 the Government of New Zealand directing me to inquire into'the complaints made by certain occupants of Pastoral Runs in this Province allotted to them by 'the late Commissioner of Crown Lands, and authorising me in case I find that any injustice has been done to such parties, from their claims not being properly understood, to remedy such wrong as far as lies in my power. Now I hereby give Notice to all parties, having any such complaints to make, to send, in a statement of their claims in writing to this Office on or before Thursday the Ist June next, after which date the lands outside the Canterbury Block will be finally allotted to applicants according to their respective claims and priority of application, and in strict accordance with the Government Regulations for the issue of Depasturing Licences. Holders of depasturing licenses issued by the late Commissioner are also hereby required to^attend at this Office on. or before the above mentioned .day, to sign a declaration of the amount of stock on their respective runs. All-Runs which shall be found not to be stocked as required by the Government Regulations ' will be forfeited and offered for selection to any parties applying for them. TVTOTICE is hereby given that Crown -*-^ Grants, of lands situated on Banks' Peninsula, made out in the names of the following parties, viz., Messrs., C. B. Robinson 4, J. A. Duvauchille 2, Pierre Bernard, B. L. Duvauchille, George Armstrong, Pierre Darmandarits, and Joseph Dulac, are now ready for issue, and will be delivered to the parties entitled to receive them, on application at this Office, and on payment of the usual fee, 20s.
